What is Type 2 Diabetes?
Diabetes Type 2 is the result of the pancreas failing to produce the hormone insulin. Insulin is the hormone that is responsible for blood sugar regulation. Due to the lack of insulin in the blood’s circulation, it results in high blood sugar levels. This is known as Diabetes Mellitus.
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is the most common type of diabetes. This is when one of two things happens. Two, when the body becomes not capable of using the insulin that is being made by the pancreas.
This disease requires oral medication that helps lowers the body’s resistance to insulin. In advanced cases, diabetics may require insulin injections for blood glucose levels to remain at normal levels.
